A Dangerous Alliance
By Peter J Charles
A Dangerous Alliance – A Tom Kessler Thriller – Book 6
“Rules? They left those behind a long time ago.”
North London, 2012. An undercover officer is found tortured and murdered. Before he died, his work exposed the heroin pipeline of the Turkish mafia. The Turks need a new route, and they need it fast.
For MI5, there’s only one way back in — use a real drug dealer with a pedigree who works for their off-the-books unit run by Tom Kessler.
Pete Johnson, a man whose past the gang already knows, agrees to take a meeting. Within weeks he’s living a borrowed life in Mayfair, sitting across the table from Soran — a man who never raises his voice and never forgets a slight. Pete promises him a new smuggling route, from the steelworks of Bulgaria to a scrapyard in Essex.
To make the lie hold, Tom and his team must run a real load across Europe, past border guards, drug dogs, and Soran’s own watchers. Every mile builds trust. Every mile raises the price of a mistake.
But Soran isn’t the only one playing a long game. His wife wants out — and she’s decided Pete is her way.
When an alliance this dangerous fractures, the fallout is lethal.
Book 6 in the Tom Kessler series.
